Our Natural Language Processing efforts have been featured in a case study published in September 2016 on Pulsar web site. The study highlighted our system (Social Intelligence Analyzer) which offers content analysis and sentiment analysis functionalities for Standard Arabic and Kuwaiti dialect. The system works as an add-on to Pulsar Social Media Analytics System.  The study also featured how Pulsar and Social Intelligence Analyzer have been used by the Kuwaiti Parliament and the Kuwait TV to analyze public trends. Dr. Salah Al-Najem the Founder and CEO of Information Age Consulting won the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prize 2017 in the E-Learning Category. The award is offered by the United Nations through the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Dr. Alnajem received the prize on the 13th of June 2017 from the International Telecommunication Union Secretary General Houlin Zhao in the award ceremony held in Geneva during the WSIS forum organized by the ITU in collaboration with the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the UN Development Program (UNDP). Dr. Alnajem’s project (E-Learning and Virtual Classroom) is a learning-management system (LMS) integrated with a virtual classroom functionality using advanced e-collaboration and video conferencing technology. The virtual classroom functionality allows students and other users to join live and recorded lectures/ webinars delivered by Dr Salah Alnajem at Kuwait University. The system allows students to participate and interact online in university lectures using video conferencing and e-collaboration technology, through real-time HD audio and video.
